Enter the GST rate that applies to each item; check the current rate on cbic-gst.gov.in or with your accountant. This tool only does the arithmetic and layout. It is not tax advice and not a registered e-invoice (IRN) system. Your details stay in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Type your business name, address and GSTIN once. They are remembered on this device if you leave the box ticked.
  2. Type the buyer details, the invoice number and date.
  3. Choose same state (CGST + SGST) or another state (IGST).
  4. Add each item with its quantity, rate and GST rate.
  5. Press Print or save as PDF, and choose “Save as PDF” as the printer.

Good to know

  • Enter the GST rate that applies to each item. Rates and rules change; check cbic-gst.gov.in or ask your accountant.
  • The total is rounded to the nearest rupee and the round-off is shown.
  • This is a simple invoice layout. It does not create an e-invoice (IRN) or e-way bill.
  • Nothing is uploaded. Only your own business details are kept in your browser, and you can untick the box to stop that.

Frequently asked questions

Is my invoice data uploaded?

No. Everything is calculated and printed inside your browser. Only your business name, GSTIN and address are saved on your own device, and only if the box is ticked.

When is CGST + SGST used, and when IGST?

In general CGST + SGST apply when the supply is within one state, and IGST applies when it crosses states. Check the place-of-supply rules for your case.

Can I save the invoice as a PDF?

Yes. Press Print or save as PDF, then pick “Save as PDF” as the printer in the window that opens.
